I have been having a tingling sensation in my hands and sometimes my feet for the past several days. I take depakote and dilantin for my seizures and had to go off of my dilantin for about 4 days last week. During that time is when it started. May be nothing, but just very curious and always concerned.

Have you talked to the neuro about this happening? While tingling can be a part of some simple partial seizures, it can be many other things also.

I am really concerned that you missed 4 days of dilantin last week....I guess it could be related to that or that would lower your threshold to have seizures too...

I would ask the doctor. When there are new things going on. (i do not have epilepsy, my kids do. I do have tingling in hands and occasionally legs from scoliosis, at time....)

it is aggravating.

I hope you get it figured out soon.

Tingling Sensation
Thanks for e-mailing me. I have talked to several people in the medical profession and they have said that it is anxiety. They said that you get anxiety and you won't even know it; thank goodness it has gotten better and almost completely gone.

I did start taking my dilantin again last week but had another seizure friday and haven't gotten the blood level results back yet. You said your kids have epilepsy...I am so sorry. My child saw me have a seizure for the first time last week and I think it hurt me more just because she was there and saw it.

Thanks again and I will be praying for you and your family.

Hi have faith!

Thanks for the prayers. It has been a challenge having one child with epilepsy. It really tested my faith when my older child was diagnosed! We do know that all things do work together for good and have persevered.

I am sure it was hard knowing your kids saw your seizure. They will be strong through it all. Kids are amazingly resilliant and do learn compassion when their parents have health issues. Mine have seen me through mine.

Hoping that the dilantin is a big help for you. I hope the tingling eases up!

Keep the faith!
