Do I take one on the first day of the white pills? Or do I wait longer? Aren't you supposed to start your period the day you start the white pills?

I'm just concerned because for the past 2 weeks i've felt sick to my stomach and i've felt kind of crampy. Certain smells make me feel sick. I told my mom and she said it could be the flu. It's mainly at night when I feel like I have to puke. I haven't puked though, i've only felt like I have to. It's such an irritating feeling that sometimes it makes me want to just stick a toothbrush or something down my throat to puke and get it over with and maybe i'll feel better. Sometimes I get headaches that make me feel like I have to throw up too. My mom said that's a sign of the flu too.

Hi crystal,
are you doing ok girl??? Sad
your period should start (in theory) when you start the inactive pills... So it sounds like that would be an appropriate time to take a preg test. Of course, if you're still worried the dr could do a blood test to be more accurate. To make the results for a pee test more accurate, use the first pee in the morning, or hold your pee for about 4 hrs and dont drink too much so that it's more concentrated.
Good luck... Hope things turn out the way you want sweetheart...

Hey - those symptoms may be from your bc! I know when I first started on it I would feel sick at night, and certain smells would just make me want to throw up. But they do let up, they did for me anyways.

Now you should get your period sometime during your inactive pills, it doesn't have to be the first day. I thought it did, and .F.R.E.A.K.E.D when I didn't get it then, but I did get my period on the thursday, and so it has been on the thursday ever since. If you are worried about being pregnant, wait until after you are done your inactive pills to see if you get your period or not... And if not, test anytime then! Hope this helped a little bit! Smile

Maybe I am being daft, but why do you think you are pregnant, have you been careless with your pills?
Ok yeah I know you can get pregnant on birth control but usually to be worried as you are there is more to it.
Some birth control pills have the side effect of stopping your periods even on the "inactive days".
How long have you been on birth control for, it sometimes takes a while for your system to settle down.
Some hormone treatments (not sure about birth control) can affect the result of a pregnancy test.
Some birth control pills work by technically making your body think it is pregnant and thereby suppressing ovulation - this could affect the outcome of your test.
So it may be worth seeing a doctor for a quantative blood test to be more accurate.

Take the test if you havnt gotten your period after the first week of being back on the pills. That way you know you deff missed a period.

Yeah I think your period starts on the green pills and stops before you start the white ones.

Hey-
not sure what kind of birth control pills you are on, but I am on trilevlen28, and my green pills are my sugar pills...I get my period during one of those green pills. It depends because not all months have the same amount of days.

I'm on the pill and I usually get my period exactly 28 days apart. If you know when you usually get your period (during your inactive pills), wait until about a week after that day, and if you don't get your period then take a test. And remember, don't stress because stress can make your period late/light/non-existant. I hope everything works out for you!

the doctor had put me on antibiotics the last part of last month. Today is the second day of my inactive pills and I usually start the second to third day. So I don't have long to wait to find out.

Ok I understand about the anti-biotics thing - it sucks.
Did your doctor tell you you needed to take extra precautions?

Hope everything works out ok for you Wink
