Hey. I am 17 and have been depressed for over 3 months now. Some days I feel a little bit better than others usually in the day time. I have a girlfriend who is 15. She has been trying to help me through this. But it is becoming too hard for her lately. I know she wont leave me but she is just tired of dealing with it. I don't blame her. I am too. But I was wondering, ever since I got depressed 3 months ago I feel like I don't have love for her anymore, but some times I can feel it a little bit. I was wondering if that is another symptoms of depression. I pretty much have all the other symptoms. But that love feeling not being there is to hard for me. I am so scared I won't get it back. I want it back, I want to love her again. We have been dating almost 2 years now. I am starting to feel like I am ruining our relationship and everything is my fault. She crys so much now and she barley has a happy look on her face and before that one day we were so good together. It hurts me so much to know I am hurting her because I am depressed.

I Hear That
High school and college are high-stress. I was diagnosed with clinical depression when I was 16. I tried throwing myself down the stairs at school. I know what you are going throuhg. I have a fiance' and he really tries to help me but lately nothing works and even he gets depressed.
Have you seen someone who can help you? Perhaps you need meds. My doc changed mine and I am slowly improving. If money is an issue, there are all sorts of groups out there willing to help you. If you are still in school, try talking to a counselor. I know it will feel strange, but it can help you.
I wish you the best of luck!
