Alright.. Im sorry, im just totally clueless sometimes.. Well, my period is about 2 and half weeks late. I did have unprotected sex, but it was shortly after my period was actually due... So should I take an hpt? Does it ahve anything to do with how far along u are, or just how late your period is?.. I'd only be like a little more then 2 weeks pregnant if I am.. And I was told that it would be too early to show up anyways.. Im so confused

You can take a test 10-14 days after the sex or once your periods late

No, that's not too early to show up. Most people say up to four days before your first missed period, but that's because most conception would have occurred 2 weeks prior to that. So if you conceived 1.5-2 weeks ago or more, a pregnancy test should be accurate. You should definitely test!

Some pregnancy tests work upto 4 days before your period is due so if you had a text book cycle that would technically be around 10 days after ovulation.
Most should pick it up if you are already late, but do remember that worrying about your period can make it later still.
The most help I can offer is to take a test and see. If it comes out negative wait a few days and if you still don't get your period test again, if it is still negative and you still don't get your period after that book an appt with your doctor to investigate, it maybe something else or it maybe that your hcg levels aren't high enough.

Each test will have a leaflet in he box be sure to follow the instructions carefully and make sure your urine has been in your bladder for at least 4 hours pref overnight (ie first morning urine) and that you have drank loads as this can dilute your urine and give a false test.
