Ok maybe i'm a little exaggerating with the "loving it" i'll explain myself.
I'm pretty sure i've had epilepsy since I was 14, but my neurologist said it probably started even earlier. I've had seizures ranging from petit mal tonic, simple partial and grand mal. During a day I probably go through about 40 petit mal seizures. I can't drive, and I don't take any medication, although I was offered epilim. Why? Well the simple answer is in some seizures I hallucinate, not badly. I don't see things that aren't there (most of the time). The things I see are all in their correct places, they merely look like the whole area has moved across the globe. Confused? Bare in mind I have a rare case of epilepsy.

You know when your dreaming and you might be at your old high school? You can obviously identify it as your high school but there is something not so normal about it? Well this is what I see when i'm conscious. It will happen at least twice a week without fail. And I love it. If I lost this type of seizure I wouldn't be myself. As for the tonic and grad mal well they don't seem that serious. I've only had one grad mal and I was in the shower and I managed to pull myself out of the seizure because my brain started gaining consciousness before I stopped shaking. I wasn't hurt surprisingly, the only down side is I don't know how long it went for.

I have never had a completely unconscious seizure apart from that. Most other seizures involve a dream-like state which I find quite pleasing. So i'm not willing to change unless it gets worse.

What I wanted to know is does anyone else have seizures like mine. The neurologist said it's very very rare.

I only got diagnosed this year, I wish they found out sooner coz I failed high-school Sad

my causes are unknown but during my research I found out that epilepsy can be linked with injuries as a child (a fell head first down 3 meters onto rock), and kidney problems (i have an abnormal kidney).

Hello There
I think I know what you mean when you say dream like seizures.
Ive been diagnosed with this since 11 months ago. I am now 22 yrs old. And I am told that I have this from an accident as a child when I cracked my head open on a pole.

The types of seizures that I have are grand mal, mostly. . . I dont have petit mal seizures much anymore. But I dont know. I have a few types of different ones. But of late. When its time to sleep I will feel strange. Laying in my bed in the dark I will shut my eyes and I will see a shape. I have always had that feeling. You know... Its like you said with yours daydream like state. But the only thing is that, then it turns nasty. And I feel like I am twisting and turning, but I am not moving. Then I feel like I dont have any arms or legs and I just have a head. I know this sounds strange.

But I just wanted to know have you ever been stoned.? I dont smoke pot, but I tried it when I was younger and well the nice feeling at the beginning is kinda like a nice level of that.

Then it feels nasty.

Cheers sam.

Yes! When I go to sleep I ca't stop my eyes from fluttering under my eyelids, and I see stuff and I shake a bit. My friend said it's somthing to do with relaxing muscles to fast. When you mentioned being only a head I know what you mean, and it reminded me of when I was stoned almost instantly. When i'm stoned I feel fine for a while then things start to get messed. I feel as if i'm traveling at millions of kilometers an hour and the skin is ripping off my bones due to the velocity. Other things are like feeling as if i'm just a brain and spinal column. Large horn like steel shapes growing around my skull in different patterns. Seing 5 metres as a 1000km lanscape. I don't smoke anymore. Unless i've been drinking in which case I don't have a problem.

Hello
I know exactly what you mean there.
I would get the worst feeling when I was stoned. After the initial first moment. I exactly know about the head and spine thingy. I know this is going to sound strange. But sometimes I feel like I am un born when that happens. I guess its because of the lack of being able to move when I am seizing, and the feeling of the dark.

I drank alcohol for the first time in 10 months 3 days ago and last night I had a grand mall that went for over 15 minutes. I was so scared. I woke myself from my sleep, I must have had a little one while I was sleeping and I woke up with tears, I was making a weird noice like a cry, and my flat mate ran out to me and sat by me she said. Then I had the huge one.

Just when I feel like I am getting better I take 100 stepps back.

I would be pretty angry if somthig like that happened to me, I really want to start driving. I've never had the chance to get my learners licence. I want to have some kind of independance.

I wouldn't have a clue if i've ever had a seziure in my sleep. I'm pretty sure i've only had one grand mal seziure though.

I didn't mean to offend those who have more serious attacks than me. But you never know I may end up that way. For now i'll be happy with what i've got because i've become acoustomed to it and I don't want to change.
