Q: Missed Period... Please Help!!

I was on depo provera for about 3 years, and after having so many horrible side effects, switched to alesse.

I started alesse just about two months ago, and had a normal period after my first cycle.

Now it's the end of my second cycle, i'm into my 5th sugar pill and I still haven't gotten a period. I have some cramps every once in a while but that's it!

My doctor assured me that even though I had a period with alesse (first month had breakthrough bleeding around week 3 before sugar pills) I would't be ovulating since depo will be in my system preventing it from happening for at least a year.

But, why am I not having a period then??

I have not missed one pill and have taken my pills (yes even sugar) at exactly 6:30 am each morning (give or take one or two minutes).

Is this normal??

Well, just to let ya'll know...

I did a pregnancy test tonight. It's negative!

Thank goodness. I'm not ready for another brat... Lol I want more babies but not until my fiancee and I marry and move into a house.

The four of us (fiancee, myself and two kiddies) is already too much for this teeny cramped apartment.

Some womens periods will be very slight when they are on the pill.

Oh my gosh, my last post sounded so horrible. Lol I do love "brats". I love all kids, but just not ready for more.

Anyway... Thanks for replying

*gross alert*

i do seem to remember having the slightest tinge of red half way through that one month - wiping after going pee... Only one time... So could that teeeeny little drop of blood have been the period??

Yes that teeny tiny tinge could possibly have been a period. I was under the impression if ya don't ovulate, ya don't bleed. That could be old news though.

I'm on the opposite end, menopause. I'm so tired of these hot flashes Twisted Evil the up side of this menopause is I haven't had a period in almost a year (nov).

It wouldn't hurt to go to see your doctor.
