Hi, I need some help. Im getting acne behind my back and I don`t really know how to treat it. My parents think its because of eating too many fry foods. However, I balance everything with veggies and fruits. I always take a shower every night and I just got a new bed so im sure it isn`t caused by bugs or whatever. I`m pretty healthy becuase I exercise daily. The acne or what I think looks like acne doesn`t itch but sometimes its kinda embarrassing. My clothes are always washed and my room is always clean. Is it becuase I don`t drink enough water?...Shoud I treat my back with clearsil or some other product. Plz help me. Thank you

It's rare that acne is caused by what you eat.. (although eating healthy can help things). It sounds like you are just having some sort of hormonal change or maybe some stress(?)... I've always found the best way to help acne on your back is to use a back scrubber in the shower everyday. I just use an anti-bacterial soap on it, but some sort of acne wash would probably work. I don't recommend anything like clearasil (i.E with benzoyl peroxide in it) for your body because if you sweat or it does not completely absorb it will bleach your clothes and ruin them. Drinking extra water never hurts, but probably won't completely clear it up.

I've had acne on my back for a couple years now, which I guess it worse than you have it. I hate it. I'm so embarrassed, but sometimes I just say screw it, I can't do anything about it. I've tried so many things for just my face and I break out every once and a while like when i'm really stressed or on my period. I've tried so many things, and nothing really works. Or it works for a little bit and then stops. I have tried body washes for acne, but they never really did anything. I have used nature's cure acne treatment, and I think it has made at least a small difference for my back, however. It's a pain to use the cream all over my back, though. And I sometimes completely forget about it or taking the pill, especially with the hurricanes we've been having down in florida lately. I don't think one or two times will make much difference, though...

Try This, It Worked For My Acne
I've had pretty bad acne my whole life. I found this microdermibrasion sponge thing on ebay and it actually worked. I'm not going to run a fat ad for the product here but I use it once a week and I barely ever get zits anymore.

If body washes and such don't help, you could try an oral antibiotic. I've had sever acne since I was ten, and the only time I managed to get rid of it completely was the three months I was taking tetracycline. It actually got rid of everything!! Of course, once I stopped they all came back...Sad

Reply to Back Acne
I've had the same annoying problem since I was 17 and i'm now 25. I have three sisters and the oldest is 29 and she still has this problem. If you are just starting to get it, it may be stress related or you may even be experiencing some hormonal changes (puberty, etc). I would suggest starting with the small stuff, like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid (neutrogena body clear) - only a small amount of benzoyl peroxide is needed, like 2.5% because you don't want to irritate your skin and make it worse. Ortho (birth control) seems to help a lot of people and is proven to be safe. If all else fails, go to your dermatologist and try antibiotics, but read up on the side effects - possible liver and kidney damage, etc.

My Guy Has the Same Problem
Hi phenom! You know, my boo also has the same problem with his back. He has acne all over and keeps having them (he started having them from his teens). We tried antibacterial soaps and he says they don't work. Then I bought him godiva antiblemish soap coz im using it for my face for my pimples. He tried it for 2 weeks and he said that his back is improving and he could feel that his skin is much smoother already. :d

i'm buying him a jar of godiva anti-blemish cream which I also use for my face to get rid of pimples. Im sure it'll work for him as wellbut I hope he has the diligence to apply them on his back everyday. Or else get someone to apply it for him (i guess that would be me huh). Laughing

you can try using godiva antiblemish products.

I hope this works for you. Wink
