I have a complete fracture of the 4th metatarcel in the foot (not the protruding toe). The orthopedic tells me it will cure no matter what, but it has been 8 weeks and xrays show hardly any (if any new bone growth). The toe will heal crooked since it was displaced and no reduction was done. The ortho assures me I will be fine and will wear high heels again. I'm not so sure. I thought if a bone healed incorrectly there would be problems. Do I need a second opinion? I have an hmo and that's not so easy.
