Q: Anal Itch And Pain

Embarassed I have been to the docotr several times in the past year and a half. It started as an anal fissure and severe pain and itching. Had surgery a year ago and they injected botox. I had releif for about a month. Now the fissure is healed, but I continue to have itching, pain and bleeding. This is on a daily basis. The doctor wants to do a biopsy in november. But, meanwhile, I have used every kind of cream, lotion, corn starch, no lotion, sitz baths, etc. That anyone can imagine.

Does anyone know what could cause this or what to use to get rid of it? It seems no matter what I eat-i still get irritation, etc., so I don't think it could be diet. I even take fiber on a daily basis. (supplement))

thanks!

Any Luck?
Have you had any luck finding the source of the itching? It sounds like we both have similar symptoms.

Thanks.

Wiping give relief like a cotton swab to the ear does! I am not dirty or overweight.... I thought hemeroids would go away after I had my baby??? Help!

Worms?
I know this problem has probably gone away for you now, but another common problem which causes itching is worms - This is easily trated with a cheap 1 off pill from the pharmacy - This is caused by bitting fingernails, picking your nose, then eating - or just not washing your hands before eating - I know if you have bleeding when you wipe after emtying your bowels, then this is not worms - but worms is a common problem of an itchy anus! Smile
