Many of you will probably have a good laugh at my paranoia, but i'll gladly sacrifice my pride for some peace of mind! In late august, my boyfriend and I had dry sex. We both had jeans and underwear on, and I know for a fact he did not ejaculate until later. A few days later we did it again, except he was fully clothed and I was in my underwear. Again, he didnt ejaculate on me. I got my period about 5 days later, just as expected, and it was completely normal. We had dry sex a third time about a week after that; we were both fully clothed, and there was no ejaculation.

The reason i'm so paranoid is because lately my stomach has been feeling unusually tight and i've been mildly cramping. I've also been getting headaches, and my breasts are starting to feel a little sore. I know that my tight stomach could be anything, and that everything else could be due to stress or impending menstruation (i'm "supposed" to get it october 8, but my cycle is so irregular that it could come at anytime!). But, like I said, i'm so paranoid that I immediately think the worst.

I know I said I got a completely normal period in september with cramps and all, but i've read that sperm can live in a woman's body up to 7 days, so even if you do have your period, you could ovulate early and still conceive with sperm from 7 days ago. I also said that he didnt ejaculate, but I know that pre-cum can cause pregnancy even if you don't have sex, and although I dont think there was any on his jeans, i'm still worried.

Is there anyone who can put my mind at rest? Normally i'm much more sensible than this, but pregnancy at this point in my life is a true phobia of mine.

Thanks!!

Oh btw - I did take a home pregnancy test early this past week and it was negative...But i've read that these things can be wrong Confused

Oh boy.
If things happened exactly as you described - I think this is one instance where I can say "you are not pregnant".
Sperm are amazing little swimmers - but not through jeans and underwear, they are not magic.
I have to say for the benefit of any other girls in this position, if you think this is a means of getting pregnant - stop fooling around.
If a guy ejaculated in your vagina immediately before you during your period, and you ovulated at that time, there is a small chance you could get pregnant.
The woman's body during menstruation is a hostile environment and not conductive to long life of sperm.
Yes sperm can live in the womans body upto around 5 days, but they actually need to get into your body.

Don't you think that if a woman could get pregnant (a) through her clothes, and (b) when the man does not ejaculate, that there'd be a lot more pregnant women around? None of us would be able to even get on a crowded tube train.

I told you my story sounded idiotic! Please bear with me, pregnancy is the one thing I am truly afraid of at this stage in my life. I appreciate both of your replies, they have made me feel better Smile

and the two of us have toned it down a bit because of all this. In the end its better to be safe than sorry!

Once the sperm hits air and/or clothes it will die. They need you to survive.

Drewsmom - sperm does not die as soon as it hits air or clothes - how do you think sperm banks work in that case?

Ok sperm won't live long and in this girls case there wasn't any sperm anyway so that is irrelevant.

That is way too funny!! You dont have to tone down your "dry sex". You will not get pregnant that way.

lol the logical part of me knows that...I'm not toning it down because I think it will get me pregnant...I'm toning it down because I know how worried I get for every little thing, and if there is another incident where I feel sick or funny in any way, I wanna be able to know in my head that its not pregnancy.

Confused I'm such a tart lol
