Q: Weight Loss, Face Loss

Hey, i'm a 17 year old male, a tad too skinny, 122 pounds. I lost around 30 pounds over the past year. Over the summer, my face was quite slim and thin and tight-skinned. But, although I havent gained any weight, in recent weeks my face has become loose-skinned, a little flabby, my cheeks have become a little bigger, my jaw and cheekbones less defined...I dont udnerstand. Why would this happen, any information will be appreciated, and how can I return to the thin face version?

P.S. - I am 17, could it be my hormones?

Hi breathmints, how are you doing. Sorry no one answered you in so long. I guess the important thing that might be related is your weight loss of 30 lbs. Why did you lose that much weight, its kind of uncommon especially in males and that too at age 17 when you're supposed to be growing? Were you sick or something? The weight loss so rapidly might have triggered something and your body responds in its own wierd way. Iknow that cheeks do sag when you lose a lot of weight though- that's pretty common. When I lost a lot of weight my cheeks sort of sloped own and became floppy at the sides. So maybe you should talk to a dr to let them evaluate you?? Well take care and good luck.
