Fluid On the Pelvis! Why? Posted: 09-26-04 12:28pm
If any one can help me I would really
appreciate it. Here is my problem on
september 20, 2004 I went to the e.R.
Because, I was having lower abdominal pain
on my right side. I thought it was my
appendix's, but when they did all of their
scans and blood work it was not that. I
am not pregnant either. But they did
find fluid on my pelvis, and they said
that I might have had a ovarian cyst and
it ruptured. Well I need to know if that
is dangerous. Because I have also been
really nauseous, and have not ate for the
past almost four weeks. And I notice
that I have put on some weight. Well if
I am not eating why am I gaining weight?
If any one has any information for me, I
would really appreciate. I am a young
mother of two very beautiful kids. And I
don't want anything to happen to me. I
want to see my kids grow up!

If this was me, I would go and get a
second, third or fourth opinion or
whatever it takes to get some answers.

If it was an ovarian cyst and it ruptured
then it would not be dangerous. Since
you have had other symptoms I would go to
a doctor and get checked out to make sure
you do not have other cysts growing or
that there isn't something else going on.
It may be that the saw the one thing and
looked over something else. Good luck!
