After having both knees replaced 10 lyears ago I am informed that I have worn out the pads and need to have surgery on both knees again. Apparently the bones are strong, the prothesis is intact but the metal is starting to meet and rub. Has anyone out there had to go through this, was it successful? Was the therapy as intensive as the initial replacements? Has anyone choosen not to proceed with this? I am overweight, active, traveler and 72.
