Does anyone know the pros & cons of getting each of them? What is everyone planning to have? If you already had your baby.... What was your experience with it & how was the healing process? Thanks ladies Smile

I didnt know you could pick to have a c section, but my doc says vaginal delivery unless something goes wrong. I wanna have a vaginal anyway cuz I hear you are sore as hell when u come off the drugs with a c section.

Not here u cant or insurance wont cover it..Unless its medically necessary! Pros: no vaginal pain, no labor, no contractions, longer hospital stay getting waited on hand and foot and many more

cons: longer recovery time, somewhat sore, staples, veryyyy cold operating room, only one person can be in there with you, scar, risk of bleeding alotttttttttttttt and they dope u up afterwards and dont hardly remember any of ur visitors

You can pick here. It's a relatively new thing, being able to pick or not, but you can. I wouldn't have a c-section unless it were medically necessary. Having a scheduled c-section takes all the "fun" and mystery out of labor. I wanna be relatively surprised when I go into labor, it might sound stupid, but I think that's one of the fun parts about being pregnant.

Well, when I went into labor with my daughter, I would only need a c-section if I couldn't deliver vaginally or if it was necessary. I ended up having a vaginal delivery and I came home the next day. My experience was somewhat painful since I couldn't get an epidural. I had a small tear after delivery but it healed up within a couple of days (the doc stitched me up). I'm glad that I didn't have a c-section because I hate surgery!
