Q: Blood In Stool....plz Answer

Hi I am a 21 year old female and have noticed changes in my bowel movements. They have been lighter more yellowed in color and occasionally there is bright red blood in the stool. I was wondering what this possibly could be and wonder if immediate visit to the doctor is necessary. Thanks.

You could have an internal hemmoroid that has been irritated, hence the bright red blood in your stools. Check with your doctor, especially since you are so young and your stools have changed so much.
