Hi,
my five month old son has had a diaper
rash for 2 weeks now and I can't get rid
of it. We were at the hospital recently
and some lady saw me changing him and said
it looked like he had a yeast problem.
She said when it gets really red and bumpy
that you need to use antifungal
medication. Has anyone had a simlilar
problem? He's also having a bowel
movement 6-7 times a day and I dont know
if it's his formula or not. Has anyone
had trouble with good start supreme?
Thank you.

As for the diper rash it could be a yeast
infection, you would want to see the doc
for that. As for now just keep treating
it with balmex, or desiten.
As for the bowel movements thats normal
really, my baby thats 2 months has 9-12 a
day. Babys seem to eat alot and the
digest it at different times. Its not
uncommon but if you wanted you could if
your not already feed him baby cereal, and
I think some juices but not too much and
ohhh... I know that when I was a baby I
constently had a rash from juice ( i'm
alergic to citric acid) that could be what
is triggering it try laying back on the
juice, try water it down a bit and do only
one juice for a week or 2 you will find
that some will irritate more then others.
I hope that helps a bit. Not sure about
if you should change to supreame formula
yet ( I breastfeed).

Diaper rash can be very uncomfortable for
your child. Babies have ultra sensitive
skin and when you add chemicles from urine
and feces plus a rubbing diaper diaper
rash can occur. For helpful tips please

When my son had a red and angry looking
rash, the doctor prescribed some
medication for it. However, I don't like
to use medication unless it's absolutely
necessary, especially for my baby. And so
instead of using a chemical product on my
baby's skin, I tried using a plant based
soothing gel that I also market and in a
couple of days the rash had disappeared.
I've used this gel whenever my son has any
kind of rash or skin irritation and it
worked everytime. If you would like more
information, please let me know.

You can try Pure vitamine E oil. It works
wonders. My sisters baby gets rashes all
the time and we used that on him when he
was here and it cleared it up soo fast.
It is worth the try.

Hi,
It sounds like your baby could have a
yeast problem. When my daughter had it,
the Pediatrician said to use Vaseline on
her so it helps act as a barrier between
the Urine (or Poop) and the skin. Also,
when you give the baby a bath let him air
dry for as long as possible (like a half
an hour), it's excellent for healing
rashes. Also, evaluate his diet because
maybe he might have too much sugar in his
baby food and try to introduce more
alkaline foods (like green vegetables) to
help alkalize his PH levels, if indeed he
does have Candida (yeast infection). The
problem with yeast is that the bowels have
lots of yeast so strict and prompt hygiene
will help by changing his diapers as
quickly as possible.
I hope this helps.

when my daughter had a rash, i just
started letting her bum dry out for about
5 minutes every time i changed her. i
would pat her bum dry then fan it with
something to make sure it was completely
dry then i would alternate between
zincofax and corn starch. that seemed to
help a lot.
