Hey all. I was wondering if anyone can help.

Just yesterday (thursday) I got diagnosed with having gastritis caused from an anti-inflammatory medication.

Symptoms started on sunday, 4 days after first taking the anti-inflammatory. They included:

-nausea with no vomiting
-bloating after eating (didn't matter how much I had to eat)
-diarrhea/loose stools
-constant stomach gurggling
-just an all day general feeling of not feeling good

also, just last night I woke up at 4:20 am with stomach pain I have not felt in a very long time. I had to stand up for it to go away. It took about 45 min to 1 hour until it subsided.

Here's my question. I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for gastritis symptoms to disappear. I am really quite tired of feeling this way and would like to get back to feeling well again.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi sweety1. Just replying to see if your symptoms have gone. I've just posted a message asking about my symptoms of possible gastritis and wondering that if my tests come back positive how long i've got to feel this way for. I've recently been getting the night pains too - and you're right, they only subside if you stand up! Anyway, I hope all is sorted with you!!

Hi! :d

well, that was the first and only time I got the night pains, thankfully. But something still is not right with me. I have to go next week (thursday) for a couple more tests, upper gastrointestinal series and a barium swallow. I guess I will let you know how they turned out after I get the test results back.

I don't get all of the symptoms that I had when I first got diagnosed, but like I said, there is something that is still not right.

Keep me updated on how you are doing as well. :d
