I am having trouble with my right knee. I play basketball for
tarleton state university, this will be my first year, but my knee problem
is worsening. I have trouble with my knee throughout my life, I am 19. My
right knee swells up below my knee cap and sometimes on either side below it. I have pain that variates from the inside to below my knee cap. If I stand on my knee to long it becomes stiff and it hurts to bend. After a
long work outs I have shooting pains, and especially when I lay down to
rest. When I am lifting weights, the pain is not unbearable but it is
there. I am trying to figure out my problem before I see a specialist.
Thankyou any information will help me out greatly.

I have something like that and it is called pattella femoral pain syndrome my knee would swell so bad I couldnt bend it. Look it up and then make an appointment to see a specialsts . I wear a brace now and that tends to help. Good luck
