I am totally having the same problem
i thought it was just tinnitus then I did some research on tmj disorder and i'm pretty sure I have that:
constant ringing in my ear, jaw pain/popping/clicking, doesn't close or open smoothly, back, neck and shoulder pain, facial pain (like certain areas of the skin on my cheeks or near my jaw are painful to touch sometimes) some dizziness and disorientation, clench my teeth when i'm sleeping and when i'm awake and not aware of it

then just the other day, the back left point of the upper left wisdom tooth cut through and is causing incredible pain. It hurts to talk or sing because it rubs against my gums/cheek constantly, unless I hold my jaw down and to the left a little bit, but then the muscle gets really sore. So aggravating!

My wisdom teeth have been moving around for a while and the top two have cut through, but not grown in all the way. Thank god there's room in my mouth for them and they're coming in straight, but dang they hurt

the bottom ones haven't cut through yet but I can feel them under the gum and they move every now and then. Aie aie aie!

I hope this tmj junk goes away when they stop coming in. The ringing is driving me crazy! Sometimes, too, all the sound tunnels and gets muffled, that drives me crazy and I have to hold my fingers in my ears for a few minutes until it normalizes again.

I ve had ringing in my ears for several months now. It all started when I got my top two wisdow teeth out. A week or two later I noticed the ringing in both ears, more so in my right ear. It jst so happens that my right upper tooth was the hardest to get out. Since then my jaw and temples have been sore and hurt all day. My dentist told my I have TMJ and I have been fitted with a night guard to stop clinching my teeth. I ve only had it for two days but my lower wisdom teeth have started hurting bad and it has just seemed to make things worse. I dont know if taking the bootom two out will help or make the ringing worse. It doesnt seem like anyone has any clue when it comes to tinitius or TMJ ive been to a dentist and a ENT both dont give me any real awsner or treatment. Good luck to everyone.

I've just started a constant hum in my left ear about 2 days ago. I am trying to figure out what is going on. It's driving me crazy. I have impacted wisdom teeth as well that I have never gotten extracted. I was also told by the last dentist I went to he thought I had TMJ. I get severe headaches on either side of my head as well and most the time I have jaw pain associated with these headaches. I'm wondering if there isn't a connection between all of these things. I thought maybe getting my wisdom teeth out would help these problems, but then I read that some of you had the ringing in your ear after the extraction of your wisdom teeth. I have no clue what to do, any updates on how you all are doing would be great!

I get it too! Or kind of a buzzing, echo-ey sound. I find that advil takes down the TMJ swelling, and sometimes, if you give your head a shake, like when you get swimmer's ear, I find it can help.
