I know a few people that have the patch, they don't say anything about it and I have never asked.

I know that everybody is different when it comes to b/c.

I got pregnant while on the pill.

I would talk with your doctor and see whats best for you.

Are you breastfeeding?

the B.c Patch
I was on the patch, it got me sick. I felt like I was going thru pregancy. I felt sick after eating and throw up after two aclohol drink. It was the worst. You guys should do your reseacrh before these birth control. They cause short of breath, blood cloths and etc. Read the fine lines. Someone two months died from it . It was on the t.V (primetime) that hurts because was only 19(that's too young). I'm off now and now I have head aches all the time and feel sick and can't eat anything. Just check with your doctor first and ask alot of questions. My doctor didn't tell me anything! Everybody different. But if I know what I know then I won't ever start it!

Patch
Congratulations!!

If you are nursing your son, the patch may not be a good option for you, since it could decrease your milk supply.

Sad I always have excecised and ate pretty well, so this is making me extremel depressed. My breasts are sore and I now get alot of headaches. Do you know of any b.C to contribute helping me get back to feeling comfortable in my own skin again????

I was on the patch for three months before I quit. I had a lot of problems getting the patch to stick to my skin, mainly because i'm overwieght and everywhere they said to stick it is lumpy. However, when I finally got one to stick, I couldn't get it off!!! It took me three hours to peel it off, and then I wound up with a horrible rash on that spot that bled. It was the worst. The patch also caused me to have mood swings, and I was depressed much of the time. Everyone's body is different, so try the patch if you think it will work for you. Just pay attention to your body, and if you start getting screwed up, stop using it. I would rather forgo sex for a month til I could get another kind of birthcontrol than have medical problems from the patch.

Well I love the patch. Im experimenting on placement right now, I usually wear it on my lower tummy because its the only place where it sticks nicely and my bikini covers it. But now that im in utah im trying my shoulder.

I dont have any side effects, last round I was on...I was on for 3 months then stopped just because I wasnt dating anyone and didnt feel like getting my rx renewed. I gained a bit of wait, but that may have just been me being lazy over the summer. I had some break through bleeding due to the hormones the first month my first time around, but this time I havent had any. I think its a great form of bc, its easy, as long as you are careful enough not to quickly scratch yourself thinking something is on you, and find out it was a corner of your patch. I love it, its worth a try....But if you are nursing definitely ask you Dr. About that.
