I Hate My New Nose!!!! (Page 3)

I had rhinoplasty. I had it done to reduce a bulbous tip and to narrow it cause it was too fat. It was also hooked and i wanted it to be lifted a little. Its been 7 weeks now and it looks worse than before. It looked better when I took the cast off for some strange reason, but now it looks like the memory of my nose has remembered that it was crooked. The hump I had is also coming back so Im not happy at all. And what annoys me the most is that my surgeon is happy with the results..is he so blind to see? Im miserable...it cost me $10000 to do this.....he was recommended as one of the best surgeons around my area.

I'm one month out and same thing. Huge, bulbous tip, wide, even wider when I smile. I honestly cannot understand how my nose is bigger than before. Again, went to one of the best surgeons in my area. I look awful

I think it is just swollen, dont worry! however, go to the inetrnet has a ton of before and after photos of rhinoplasty jobs that doctors have done. you can pick one from the website if you do need to get it fixed. i got a boob job and found mine on the inetrnet- he was great! i hope everything works out!

I had my surgery almost 1 month ago... my sideview looks nice, the bump was removed, but in the front, my nose is still crooked and it looks wider than it did before... I am sooo depressed

I did my nose a year ago. It has not changed at all! The same big nose after all pain and suffering... First several months my doctor was telling me that it would become narrower and smaller. Now he says it is my piculiarity that my scars and swellings don't go away. Bottomline, I have the same nose as I did before the surgery and hated all my life!

For anyone out there contemplating whether or not to get a nose job, I would advice you not to. I am only a lil over 2 weeks post op, but at this point I don't feel my nose is going to look better. My nose before was way better than it looks now. I am hoping it is just swelling and in time it will improve, but if I could go back I'd keep my old nose. I didn't think I'd be this depressed. The money I saved up could have went towards something more important. I don't want to go around family and friends because I am too embarrassed. I see my surgeon at the end of sept. and I am praying that there will be improvement soon.

Please communicate fully with doctor.And check doctor out thoroughly and see what noses he may be good at and like.see his images from before and after shots.
I have had bad experience years ago and caused so much misery.So be very careful.I would love my former nose back and attempting that now--so much damage was done has been a case of 4 rebuilding ops so far.Hopefully tomorrow may be left with more facial harmony with nose;whereby doc is doing procedure.The nose is middle of face and need a balance there.Just hoping for a better result this procedure whereby a specialist I trust to improve......so a wait and i am so nervous.

hey, I have just got my nose done its really beautiful and perfect and i get alot of nice compliments from people that my new nose looks wonderful.. but whenever i look in the mirror i just wish i didnt do the surgery as it has changed my looks, with a small nose.. i look so young, whereas there was nothing wrong with my nose before.. but i just wanted a smaller nose and trust me people if you want to have a nose job.. never do it at european countries as they are not really good at cosmetic surgery and really expensive.. ive got mine done in syria for just £800 really cheap.. if youre thinking to get any plastic surgery done your better be choosing an arab country like syria, egypt or iran as its really cheap and do it better with perfect results.

I got my nose done a year ago... I woke up in the middle of my surgery because my blood was too thin and I was choking on it... Long story short, my nose is smaller and thinner, but it now has a bump on the right side that was never there before, I'm pretty sure the Dr (who also did my boobs and they came out great) was rushing due to me being awake (which was an awful experience)... I'm planning on going back soon and hopefully getting it fixed. As for results, you shouldn't expect to see the full effect of your rhinoplasty until a year out from surgery... All Dr will tell you that. Good luck all!

Hi I am the same I am nearly 3 weeks after rhinoplasty and the difference is sicken!
I am heartbroken...I had it done because I had much cartridge now my nose looks to small for my face and my top lip is ruined but worse still is how wide my bridge is i had this nose job to take away i always felt I look un feminine but now rhinoplasty because of the bridge width and my lip has made me feel worse....
To top it off I can not stand for long I feel my head is going to explode with pressure and the heat in my face is extremely hot I have searched the internet for this after rhinoplasty but no one seems to experience this.....

same goes here.. i had rhinoplasty three months ago.. and i don't like it.. my nose used to be flat (no bridge) and a bit wide.. but i can say i like my old nose than my new nose.. my frontal view isn't what i wanted.. my side views are okay.. but the frontal view of my nose looks bulbous..i don't know if it is just swelling.. i've been crying ever since.. i spent a lot of money on this.. i am so depressed.. My family and friends said that my nose looks okay than before.. but for me, it is really not..i want my old nose back... =(

Can you get your nose back? I assume you got implants... can you not just take it out? Just wondering if you ever thought or asked different doctors? I am in the same situation... I just cannot accept my nose and I want it to be back to the old me!

Ohh its really sad Xun! you should wait for sometimes, its relly not acceptable for a while but after few days you will be habitual of your nose. So, hope for the best and dont cry.

I have been doing a lot of research on revision rhinoplasty as I too am unhappy with my nose. After all of my research I found a doctor named Dr. Becker in Pennsylvania who looks like the absolute best. Google him and look at his before and after photos...really impressive and natural looking noses.

I had my nose done multiple times and I still hate it. I will say however, that there is a big psychological aspect to rhinoplasty. I started with a pretty big nose so when I first had it broken and made smaller I thought it was too small bc I was used to such a large nose. I felt like my identity had been taken away. Now that I am used to it, I feel like it is too big! The problem with reducing the nose is that when u take down a hump or make the nose smaller more problems can appear even if the doctor addresses them with surgery and reconstruction techniques. Assymetry may show more easily as the structure of the nose is taken down and hides less. For those of you who have yet to have the procedure, especially those of you who are very young: I recommend not doing it or at least waiting and doing a ton of research. The more expensive surgeon is worth it in the long run and will save you money later. Best of luck.

yes! omg i feel the same exact way! except i got my surgury 4 weeks ago and my nose still looks the same as before. i am so depressed and am hoping it is just swelling. ://

Just to let you know had my nose done 5 months ago i hated it it looked awful i was almost suicidal but please give it time mine has changed so much even in the last couple of weeks .

Although its not the cute nose id dreamed of all the probs like what i thought was a hump still left and uneven nostrils have resolved stil a little swelling to one side of tip which makes me a little self conscious but i would say the nose you see when the cast comes of will be at least 5 to 6 times bigger than the end result and will have uneven swelling dont depress yourself like i did be patient I know how hard that is and i still spend everyday looking and beingharsh on my nose but when i compare pics it is very musch smaller but no one else has commented as it is very natural. If I had the money i would consider a revison just to pretty it up, but i dont think i could deal with he emotions of it all again. Put your mirrors down and if after 6 months you are still unhappy revisit your PS. And remember the skin has to shrink so you really culd be loooking at a year before the refined final result is visable.

Sorry to hear that it looks the same... just a little advice to maybe speed up the swelling so you can possibly see results faster... arnica montana tablets and arnica gel are supposidly really good for minimizing swelling. Also alternating ice/heat compression to the area to get the blood flowing will also help the swelling go away faster.
