I had mine 5 weeks ago and see no difference at all from the frontal view. There is some improvement in my profile but it's still projecting a lot and is not in proportion with my features. I am really pissed, however every time I try to raise my concerns with my doctor he keeps saying that it takes a year to completely heal. Don't even know what to think at this point as I know people who looked great with much smaller and narrower noses just 2-3 weeks post-opt. Why is mine so different? I'm afraid my doctor did it in rush (he was late for my surgery for almost half an hour) and had to catch up with me in the WAITING room. We didn't even have any time set apart to go over what needed to be done and what my concerns and expectations were. He just made me sign some papers and rushed me into the operation room. So disappointed...

Dear jazz mine, it is their excuse, mine looked bad right after the op. I am 13-14 weks post op and things seem to be getting worse as swelling subsides, the damage to the tip of my nose only looks worse with swelling going down, everything asymetrical, swelling and your nose will settle is all i hear, there is no miracle to the initial bad operation a surgeon performs your body can't fix itself,if your cut a certain way, if your nose looks overprojected there is no miracle healing.I live each day in sadness till one year when it's time for revision

Hi All,
A failure in rhinoplasty surgery is quite depressing and a horrible feeling. Its like that spending money in making your face ugly.
What I always feel that one should go for surgery after a lot of researches. A very nice idea is to have a talk with the patients who already have their surgery done almost 3-4 months ago.
I can suggest that to keep visiting your surgeon for some more days and if that doesn't work out try some other surgeon especially a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon as the depression can hampers your mental health also.
Hope you guys get well soon.
Regards.

Virtually nobody who gets plastic surgery is satisfied with it in the long run. They either have it changed again or they change something else.

and i'm reading all of these stories about how bad it all went! Sad
i was wondering does anyone LIKE their new nose ? anyone ?
and if i'd get my nosejob within my two week break will anyone notice the swelling or whatever when i go back to school, i know they'll notice it's smaller but will the swelling and bruises be very ugly and obviuos.

Most people are intially very satisfied. And with few exceptions people get the exact nose they ask for. The problem is more an issue of wanting what you get. Over time the new nose makes something else look strange so maybe they have nother rhinoplasty or enhance lips or cheekbones. Once you stop accepting the person you are it gets very hard to look in the mirror without seeing faults. Rhinoplasty only works if you have the self esteem to look yourself in the mirror afterwards and say "I'm good enough they way I am"
