For Those of You Christians!

Theres a lot of sins that we make, we arent supposed to lie do we? And we do...And some other stuff...Yall are havin sex already right? Whats the problem?!?! Lol... Live like theres no tomorrow.Life is short....

I agree with jordan about one thing. Having sex before you're married is no worse than lying or speeding. The .Bible says that no sin is greater than any other sin. It says that the only unforgivable sin is rejection of .Jesus. But I don't think you should live like no tomorrow!! There is a tomorrow, as many of us know all too well, and we have to live with the consequences of our actions. Sometimes there are none. Sometimes they are huge. I guess its a risk each person has to decide for themselves. As for me, anything the .Bible says is a sin, i'm going to try my hardest to avoid.

I am not christian or reglous(sp?) at all so I say if your ready to have sex than have it and if u wanna wait than wait...Personally I could not stop having sex till I was married like once u done it u dont wanna go without it.. And I dont really wanna get married so if I waited till marriage that would be along time!!

Like the other girls said, no one sin is any greater then any other sin. Jesus walked with the prostitutes. You arent going to go to hell because your having sex. The bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god. Everyone sins, no matter what. Although, plain and simple, you will go to hell if you dont except jesus as your personal saviour. (i do realize that this is a christian's point of view and that some of you may disagree)

i know i'm not one to talk or preach because i'm guilty of the same thing. But the fact that you know its a sin and you do it anyway is well, lets put it this way. You know that your boyfriend hates it that you go out with other guys, but you deliberately do it anyway and always expect him to forgive you for it. Its the same way with .God. Although he will forgive you everytime it hurts him that you do it anyway even though you know its wrong.

(again, I realize this is a christians perspective and some of you may disagree)

Well, I believe that god loves us no matter what we do, but like michelle said it hurts him just like it would hurt our parents when we sin. However, we are human and every human sins. I waited till marriage, but I know that's hard to find these days. The man I married didn't wait and although nobody ever thinks of this it did at times affect our relationship. It doesn't now because we both moved on, but it did at one point. I think if you are going to have premarital sex that you should atleast do it for the right reasons. Not because you just want some, but because you love this person and they love you. I think god loves you no matter what and he wants the best for you. We are his children and we are learning just like he did when he was alive. Try to focus on the goodness in yourself and even though you may sin, you in your heart know that you are god's child. That's what's important! God won't judge you like we judge each other.

Exactly. No sin is better or worse than the other. There is no such thing as a "level of sinning". A sin, is a sin, is a sin. So...Sex before marriage is a sin.... So is lying. Ask for forgiveness. Do like I do "god, i'm sorry I sinned, but chancesa re i'll do it again. I'm sorry". Maybe it won't get me into heaven but I try.

Some people take the bible a little too seriously but not in depth. Im sure alot of you know that if you eat shrimp u are sinner. I guess red lobster is going down.

Although I am not christian or catholic, I respect everyone's religion and beliefs. I just don't tolerate when they push it in ur face and class what ur doing as wrong "according to their bible and their beliefs".

Hi idababy... I dont want to get into an argument or anything however, if you have concerns, u are doing the right thing by discussing them seriously with your bf. Plus, if you are feeling convicted by an issue then act upon it .. Follow your conscience and your head. If u feel what u are doing is wrong, then take steps to alter the behaviour... And talk to someone u trust about it, they can help u out. A pastor or christian friend maybe? There is no shame in abstainance, girl

Im having sex too and I know im going to heaven lol. I do sin and I live with it and god forgives me.

I completely agree with everything michelle said! So many times people (even christians) get into this mindset that "it doesnt matter if I sin....God will forgive me, so i'll just do whatever I want". That is the completely wrong thing to take from the bible! But...Just to add to a few things she said...As a christian not only are you supposed to ask for forgiveness, you are supposed to turn from your sins (meaning dont do it anymore)! Although none of us will ever be perfect...You should always be in pursuit of perfection!

The "world" tells us that its stupid, wierd, strange not to have sex! For me, i'm not having sex until i'm married and i'm not ashamed of that...I dont think its anything to be ashamed of! But...I may not agree with the choices some people make in life, but I will never judge someone for those choices!

Isn't eating meat on a friday a sin?

Ok...I'll do my best to explain this "eating certain foods" is a sin thing! Someone may need to help! This may not make sense to some people if you arent familiar with the bible! Ok there is the "old law" and the "new law"...Before jesus suffered the cross for the sin of mankind, the "old law" was how people got to heaven. The old law consist of all those things about eatin certian foods on certain days and the clean/unclean stuff (i can find references in the bible if I need to!), but since jesus came and died on the cross for us, he freed us from the "law". And now, the only way to heaven is accepting him and asking for forgiveness! So that means...Doing "stuff" doesnt get you into heaven...Only a personal relationship with him does!

It makes sense, but I thought that in particular pertained to pork. Correct me if i'm wrong, but don't jewish people believe in the old testament, and christians believe the new? Catholicsm is a form of christianity right? And isn't it catholics (and maybe other religions) that can't eat meat on friday? I know jewish people don't eat pork, but christians can, but that's because jewish people believe pork is unclean. I don't believe in organized religion, but i'm just curious.

I have had sex before marriage, I guess in part because I will not be getting married. We both do not believe in or agree with the concept and our promise is to each other not to someone else.

Idababy the only answer for you is to look to yourself and do what is right at this very time in your life. If your religion is a number one priority then there is your answer.

However, if your religion is actually more of a faith you have than a religion you follow, then you take the parts with which you agree and discard those that you don't.

The bahai faith came about because "mona" took her own take on what was right is her faith.

Again the only answer is to look inside yourself and see what is right for you. Which choice will give you more heartache. What is the depth of your belief?
