you are actually related to your partner by blood, if your grandmothers are step sisters then they either have the same father or the same mother. Having relations with your relatives is not advisable due to possible birth defects but you would need to talk to your doctor to find out what risks there will be to your children if you decide to have any, because i'm not sure how closely related you need to be before birth defects are a risk.

Well are they step sisters or half sisters. Step sisters=her dad had a baby by another girl then had a baby by her mom. Half sisters= same dad/mom different dad/mom. So I say you are related but not by blood.

If your grandmothers are step-sisters, then you are not blood related. The only way you would have a change of being blood related is if they were half-sisters. But you had said they were step. So theres nothing to worry about. Even though somewhere along the lines you are related (not blood tho), that shouldnt stop what you and you boyfriend have together. You can't help who you fall for.

Well I think your grandmothers are related by marriage only. Not blood. So you two are related but not by blood. How does everyone else take it? Because he is still somewhat family to you...

I understand that u know in away we are related but then I do still love him we have bin 2gether for about 1yr and 3dayz already and I have never cared about anyone the way I care about him and he really loves my too. I understand that u know not a lot of people think this is right but u know I finally have someone who cares about me and loves me and I really love him. I dont think you two are related step sisters are when one's parent married the others parent. So you two are not related by blood.

Now that we got that settled... Sorry I read someone say that they r related by blood.. They arent they r related by marriage... I have 3 step siblings one full blood brother and one half sibling so I know the difference... I dont think there is anything wrong or anything to be ashamed of with your partners family being tied into yours by marriage..

Step sisters just means that the father had a kid with someone else and the mother had a kid with someone else and then they got married. So, no you are not related. This might get confused with half sisters, because half sisters are people who have the same father, but not the same mother, or the same mother and not the same father. So, no worries, you're fine! :d
