Q: Lack of Hip Mobility After Femur Fracture

I was dropped 25ft from a machine at work about 5 weeks ago. The most serious injury was a shatter in my right femur near the hip. A rod and two pins were put into my leg and I have been home from the hospital for about 3 weeks. I have a physical therapist who visits about every other day. Mostly we have been working on stretching out the muscles etc and improving flexibility and mobility. My hip has not been cooperating. It loosened up to a point (not very far though) and refuses to go any farther. As it is now, I cannot bend my leg far enough to get into a car, let alone drive one... My therapist thinks that I may have some calcium or bone growth that is blocking movement. Has anyone experienced this? What are the solutions?
