Because we are below sea level, when it rains a lot of the time it floods and coffins(sp?) that are below groud can float to the top. To prevent that from happening they put the graves above ground. We have a lot thats below ground too but it takes a lot to keep them there.

Yea, we do have a lot of below ground ones too. But the sucky thing about those, is that when someone else want to be buried where someone already is, the dig up the original casket, and put it out off sight. During the funeral, they keep the new casket above ground, and after everyone leaves they put the old casket back in the ground, and then put the new casket above it.

They're kinda weird! Not like our graves! Are the bodies buried under the slab things? Hmm I can't figure them out! Some of them look like beds! Are the people buried in those things? Or under them?
