Ok, so I have the btio doll im looking to sell right? Well ive decided I want to try to do some reborning to her. Here are my questions:

1. How long did it take you to become good at rooting?
2. Would it be easier for me to just use a wig and thin it out?
3. What type of hair do you like?
4. What guage needle is the best?
5. What the best wig, if I were to go that way?
6. Her head does not come of, so I cant put glue on the inside or anything to hold the hair, will it still stay?
7. If I dont sand it down, wouldi still be able to see the molded hair if I were to root?
8. How many heads do you think I should buy as practice rooting ones?
9. Are painting eye brows hard?
10. Is it hard to blush the body on the outside without making it look fake?

I think thats it! Lol thank you somuch! Sorry theres so many!

I thought of more! Lol:

if I decided to start reborning berenguers. How expensive of a hobby is that?

The btio has a lot of electronics in her. So that means I cant use a magnetic paci, right?

I have never reborned a btio doll so I cant tell you how easy it is gonna be...

1. How long did it take you to become good at rooting?

-it took me about 5 not so great dolls before I actually had a decent finished product.

2. Would it be easier for me to just use a wig and thin it out?

-yes, probably since its your first doll. But they're not as realistic and if you dont do it right it will probably look bad.

3. What type of hair do you like?

-mohair - you can order it on dollssoreal.Com

4. What guage needle is the best?

-i use 36 gauge felting needles, but 38 is decent to.

5. What the best wig, if I were to go that way?

-i have only used one wig ever, so I wouldnt know.

6. Her head does not come of, so I cant put glue on the inside or anything to hold the hair, will it still stay?

-yeah, it will stay but over time may fall out.

7. If I dont sand it down, would I still be able to see the molded hair if I were to root?

-it depends on how much you root, but it dosent look bad if you do see it. But you will need to remove any factory paint.

8. How many heads do you think I should buy as practice rooting ones?

-until you feel comfortable rooting, I suggest berenguer dolls.

9. Are painting eye brows hard?

-i dont actually paint them, I draw them on with a colored pencil. Its easier it gives a more defined look.

10. Is it hard to blush the body on the outside without making it look fake?

-yes and no, it takes lots of practice. Okay, for an electronic doll you cant use oil paints. Because you have to put the doll in the oven and heat set the oil paints. Try ink blotting...This takes practice but it works. .O.N.L.Y. .U.S.E. .V.E.R.S.A.C.O.L.O.R ink pads because others dont come off and can completely ruin your doll. (i did this yesterday - i'm pissed)

11. If I decided to start reborning berenguers. How expensive of a hobby is that?
-100 dollars a doll for supplies is about what we summed it up to. Then you also have to give the doll clothes, so about 35 dollars for that.

12.The btio has a lot of electronics in her. So that means I cant use a magnetic paci, right?

-no, you cant use a pacifier with electronics.

If I were you, I would go here..(rememeber the caps thing)
cgi.Ebay.Com/ws/ebayisapi.Dll?Viewitem&cat egory=48921&item=5520744381&rd=1&sspagenam e=wdvw

and buy that and take the classes. Because it will really help you to know what your doing. (the classes are online - I suggest printing out the lessons and keeping them in a binder for constant referal)

any other questions you have i'd be happy to answer them.
