Hey,

welcome to the forums

to be honest with you I do pretty much the same thing you do and both times i've done it it has worked. My cycle is 28 days. I usually have sex 10 days before the first day (4 days before ovulation) of my last period till about 17 days from the first day of my last period because you only have 12-24hours for ovulation (the time the egg actually is able to become fertalized) it's smart to have sex a couple of days before you ovulate so the sperm is there waiting for the egg just incase your not able to have sex on a certain day or whatnot (sperm can live up to 5 days). You should ovulate around the 14th day however some ppl do ovulate at different times. The best way to predict that is by charting your bbt or by maybe getting an ovulation kit. That can help incase you might be ovulating at a different time. I usually don't put my legs in the air rather my hips. I put a pillow two under my hips and just lay like that for about 20-30 mins. Some ppl say it doesnt work but I say it does. As for taking a test it would be smart to wait till the first day of your missed period even though there are tests out there that allow you to test a day or two before your period. For best results you should test using first morning urine speically if your going to test before you've missed a period. However most tests these days will tell you that you don't have to use first morning urine. You should wait 4-7 hours though and don't drink too much water that will dilute the urine and may give you false results. Don't worry too much most Dr. Won't be worried until a year of trying has passed before they run any tests. Give it a couple of more months.

Good luck

Stop trying to have a baby!!!! Relax :d your probably stressing your body out and that will sometimes make it hard to conceive. Go away for the weekend and have a romantic evening! Good luck and have fun trying!!!!!! Laughing
