Try making small changes in your daily routine to make the transition to a healthier lifestyle which should in time help with the love handles
throwing yourself into a high level exercise program is bound to put you off, so try easing into it more gently, and maybe finding a type of exercise or a sport that you enjoy, rather than seeing it as a chore.
If you catch the bus to school/work, try getting off a couple of stops earlier and walking the rest of the way. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, and maybe take up that sport you have always wanted to try. Offer to walk the neighbours dog perhaps? Try to make exercise fun and you will look forward to it!
Rather than eating three big meals a day, try having 6 smaller meals so that you are grazing all day and never feel hungry which will stop you from binging. Try having a huge glass of water every time you feel hungry as thirst is often confused with hunger. I also try to have a big glass of water before I eat so I feel more full and don't tend to eat as much.
Stick with it, and don't expect to see dramatic results straight away. You will notice an increase in your energy levels over time, an increase in your general wellbeing, and a decrease in the size of your love handles!
Best of luck!
