No one ever said the drug companies had any sympathy when it comes to price!However,you are paying about half of what you would be paying in the u.S..Do you have any campus healthcare?They usually have meds at a reduced rate for students.Or do you have access to a planned parenthood?It does seem unfair for bcp's to cost so much,but they are a whole lot cheaper than caring for a child!In illinois,our governer just passed a bill requiring insurance coverage for oral contraceptives if your plan has precription coverage.That was a long time in coming!After all,most insurance companies have covered viagra from the start!!Check into some alternate sources for bcp's,how about online?Good luck to you!Patty

It sounds like they are covered if she's only paying $16 to $21. Where I went to school I could get the 28 pack for $12 a month.. It's $17 a month on my coverage now. It's different depending on the insurance you have.. Not the drug companies.

Mine are cheaper because i'm canadian, no other reason. Yay for socialised healthcare!!

In the uk birth control pills are completely free. You don't even have to pay the prescription charge, which is normally something like £5.00. I guess with socialized medicine they know that prevention is much, much cheaper for the system than pregnancy!
