If you don't want him to have oversight in the child's life, you can alway file for sole custody. That way, you will be the sole decision maker in the child's life but can still get child support. And if he would be willing to sign over his rights, you could always try to get him to sign a contract saying that he will never file for custody of the child, then take him to court for sole custody. That way, even if he does get awarded visitation, you will have assurance that he will never file for custody (and if he tries ,it wouldn't happen), and you can also recieve child support.
