Critique please!
Broken homes and shattered hearts
smiles to hide the sharpened parts

no one knows whats behind closed doors
the screams are unheard, in these violent wars

she puts on a smile, for people to view
nobody knows what she has gone through

her heart aches more with each passing day
but surely he'd kill her, if she's to stray

each tear that falls, from her glassy eyes
is filled with grief, with terror, with lies

one day she'll rise above it all
she will tell herself, she can stand tall

but that day,my friends, has yet to come
her heart is scared, her body, numb

life, for her, can be better then this
she will find it one day, and have true bliss
