Okay girls..Wheres ivan? Anyone got hit yet? Hows ur weather?

We already got some rain, just a lil though, its supposed to start good today through sunday cuz when it gets here its supposed to stall or something, but it'll only b a tropical depression then. Were supposed to get 7-11 inches of rain and were in a flood watch till sunday morning, and chances of tornadoes...From frances, we had 38 tornadoes!!!

So how are u doing w/ ivan???

I'm so glad it's not in my birmingham!
I can't imagine living in a country where there was a possibility of tornadoes....Wow! Hurricane alex (think thats its name) hit the place my parents went to in ireland so it travelled quite a way!
Stay away from england you horrible tornadoes!!!

My aunt and uncle are staying in louisiana because of a trade show they had to go to. They are staying only a block away from the water, in the sheridan hotel. They were told yesterday that everyone had to fill their bathtubs up with water so they have drinking water, they had to close the shutters on their windows and push all the furniture up to the windows. When the power goes out, everyone has to meet on the 5th floor of the hotel in the banquet room because it doesnt have any windows. They also have a curfew of 2pm! Everyone needs to be back in the hotel at 2 in the afternoon, or they wont allow you in!! They tried leaving, but you cant rent a car, b/c everythings closed, and they didnt want to be stuck in traffic when ivan hit!! Heheh!! They're soo scared! They've been thru so many ny snow storms, but never a hurricane!

I am so glad that ivan did not hit at the force that was predicted. What a catastrophe that would have been!! We're still getting over frances down here...And man, was that like nothing i've ever experienced before!! Our power was out for three days and there was just damage everywhere. There are people in our area who still don't have electricity and it's been ten days now! And that was a relatively "little" hurricane. Crazy.

Hope everyone in the al area and the panhandle are doing okay!
