I have been married for three years. I have been with the same woman for 4 and 1/2 years. We were both sexually active before our marriage, and both admit to having unprotected sex. Neither of us have been tested for aids/hiv. She is sick a lot (allergies) and has urinary infections every now and then.

I am scared that maybe she is infected, which would make me infected. I have had surgery within the last year, an apendectimy (sp). Blood was taken from me for test, but I don't know if they tested for aids. Would the hospital test for aids? And if so would they give me the results?

You *both* need to be tested if you have had unprotected sex. The procss is really very simple.

I went to my local hospital and had it done anonymously. It really is as simple as that. You might want to call ahead depending on where you live. If you live in a metropolitan area, they may do it at the health department, etc.

In my situation, I had my results sent back to my doctor. It took, if I recall correctly, about 7-10 days, but that was about four years ago.

About your wife's utis, there are a *lot* of things that can cause that in a woman. Our *equipment* makes it a lot easier for us to get those type of infections. There is even a name for women having a lot of utis.

Good luck,
