Crying or Very sad I feel like icky icky...For the past week...I'ive been extremely weak. My legs, arms...And basically my whole body hurts. I've been getting really dizzy... My head is spinning. Not too sure what is wrong with me..I think its just the flu because last tuesday I was throwing up. I went to the doctor today and she told me I have sinus infection and strep throat. Icky.

My doctor put me on this antibiotic called: cepftsil or something like that.
I was wondering if its going to screw up my birth control or not..Please help me out thanks! Embarassed

I've never heard of an antibiotic screwing up birth control.

Thats strange because in my leaflet about my birth control. It mentions that used with certain antibiotics, it can become ineffective

Certain antibiotics can mess with your birthcontrol, it'll make them less effective.

If you called the pharmacist he would know! If I knew the name of the antibiotic and birth control you were on I could check it.

Ok, I looked them both up and I didnt find that either of them decreased the effectiveness of the other. So, you should be ok! But, if you are still worried call the doctor or pharmacist!
