I would go and take the child with me, and i'd call the cops.

If this is happening to you I am really sorry for the situation you are in, I trust that you have the strength to get out and take your child and make use of all the resources you can find, cops, family, friends to get to a place of safety for yourself and your child.

if you are in this situation, get out! I heard a saying once that sums it up, " first time, shame on you, second time shame on me." I understand that it is a "torn" response as to what to do. You feel obligated because it is your child's father. However, the impact of abuse also affects your child. If your child is female, she may think this type of behavior is acceptable and in return may be involved in relationships later in life that mirror your own. If male, he may also think this behavior is acceptable and in return become an abuser. It can infact be reverse for male/female children. This alone should impact your decision... Would you want your child to become an abuser or be abused as well?

Best of luck to you, but I hope for all of your sakes you get out and get help! Nobody has the right to hurt you.

"nobody is worth cyring for, and the one that is won't make you cry."
