Im a 37 years old married lady. I have underwent two abdominal surgeries. First one 14 years a cessarean section for my baby girl and 3 months ago an appendecentomy. A15 days after appendecectoy I felt similar pain in abdomen on the area of appendix. It was asociated with vomitting. I had a copper t installed so I thought it would be a pelvic infection dut to it. So I got ir removed. But the pain persisted and started to increase. I used to feel pain when my clothes touched my scar or even when water touched me when I took shower. I used to feel severe pain when I lifted my right foot. The doctors in pakistans best hospital facilty investigated me to rule out any internal problem. They performed a ct scan abdomen, ct scan pelvis both with and without contrast, a ct scan kub. And ultrasound abdomen...All revealing nothing at all. They have rold me that this is most likely a neurogenic pain due to nerve enmtrapment in scar. Im on amitryptyline which is very hard on me. Kindly any one suggest me other options of treatment..My pain is killing me. And I often cry.

I am so sorry for your pain, I have no experience in this, my first thought was that maybe there was an infection underneath the scar. But is sounds like you have been put through tests that would have detected that. I don't know what can be done for your situation...Do you have many options for alternative therapy in pakistan? Could you see an acupuncturist or naturopath? Possibly something in alternative medicine can help if there is nothing more a traditional doctor can recommend besides pain killers...

Thankyou
Hi, I never thought I would get a prompt reply as I have..Thankyou for understanding. Pakistan does offer a lot in alternative medicine, infact more than most countries in the world. I am about to meet my consultant in two days. He has told me of some local manouveres that perhaps they are going to try. If I dont get any significant relief from it I would certaily shift to alternative medical advice. Once again thankyou
