Herpes and Genital Warts Forum - a Question About Genital Herpes?

I just met a fellow a couple of months ago and he is a great person. We have never been together sexually but we have discussed it. He told me during our discussion that he has genital herpes. Granted, I am not interested in have sex with him but he is a great person and great friend. I want to be there for him. We have cuddled and things like that just to comfort him but I have never kissed him. Can some one with genitals herpes pass it by kissing?

Genital herpes can be transmitted only by sexual intercourse (vaginal, anal and oral). Genital herpes can not be transmitted by kissing, but oral herpes can.
