Swollen Belly?

Ok today (maybe yesturday too, im not sure
when I very first noticed it) my lower
part of my belly feels fat... Like it
developed a layer of fat on top of the
hard stretched feeling part... Its like
its swollen or something cuz I dont think
fat would just all of a sudden appear out
of no where, like there be no fat one day,
and then the next, about 1/4 of an inch,
probably even less. I was just wondering
if anyone else noticed this happen to them
before labor, or if its something bad, or
just weird or what. Ive been having lots
of contractions all day, at about 11:30 pm
they started getting strong and close
together but we were out at a friends
house having a fire so I couldnt time
them. Now that im home they are calming
down a bit, not as painful, and about 8-9
minutes apart. Do you think all the
contractions could have to do with my
stomach being swollen? I even had kevin
feel and I asked him if it always felt
that way and he said he didnt think so
(lol). But so far, from what ive been
timing, these contractions are the most
regular ever, and probably the most
painful. Sorry this is so long lol im
tired and when im tired I over explain
everything...

I hate to tell u but its probably fat! It
will apper overnight! Lol my stomach was
the same way~and its hard to fing get rid
of!

Yeah it hppend to me, my tummy was round
then one day it looked funky like the
bottom was sagging , im sure yall may
remember-alot of ppl noticed it1
its that chocolte heather

Hmm im not sure. But I do know u gain
belly fat when preggo. My stomach has
went down alot..But its definitly not hard
and flat, its still got the chubby feeling
to it.

That happened to me but that was when the
baby dropped. Maybe thats what happened
to you.

She dropped awhile ago. It doesnt really
feel or look saggy, just puffy. It feels
icky.

Watch it april. Remember angie said that
her belly was really swollen bcuz of her
preeclampsia? Let us know if you have
more swelling and/or headaches that make u
dizzy and such. Or anything that just
feels wrong. Thats probably not it but u
never know. When is ur next doc appt?

How far along are you now?? Let me tell
you, sleep as much as you possibly can!!
I am totally serious... When I was still
pregnant, and my contractions were getting
stronger and closer together, they hurt so
much I couldn't sleep... I was awake for
a week straight... I couldn't sleep. I
was so tired that I would literally pass
out between contractions for about 45
minutes at a time. Every day... Only
about 2 times a day. It was really bad
for me. I went to the hospital 5 times
before actually having her. Kept telling
me it was stupid braxton hicks... Didn't
feel like it to me... Finally I had her,
and didn't sleep for another 2 weeks cause
baby's eat every 2 hours.... So
definitely get your rest now.... I wish
somebody had told me this great advice
before it was too late....Lol

I dont have any other swelling or any
headaches. Lol trust me, if I did, I
would have been at the hospital by now!
Thats why I thought it was kinda wierd
though, but its just my belly that feels
swollen. It doesnt feel saggy, just
puffy, and its only the lower half of my
stomach, like 1 inch below my belly button
all the way down to my pubic bone. My
inner thigh muscles feel sooooo sore, and
it kinda hurts to walk. Im still having
lots of contractions, but now they are
pretty irregular. My next appt. Is on
tuesday, I plan on asking my doctor about
it... Maybe im just retaining water or
something.

I had that same problem with not being
able to walk because of pain in my
muscles. You make me miss being
pregnant!!!!

I think the post was meant to read, "it's
that chocolate" as in its the chocolate

I couldn't hardly walk at all by the time
I was 38 weeks, when I went to my 39 week
check up I found out why... I was 4
centimeters dialated, and had been for
about a week. If thats your case good
news is by the time your regurally
contracting your already about half way
there! When I got to the hospital I was
7 centimeters dialated and to tell you the
truth not in that much pain:) well good
luck, I hope the baby comes really really
soon:)

at my 38 week checkup I was " 1 cm
dialated, and thined out"... A couple
days before I went in, I was having that
pain with walking and everything... Now
its just been gettin worse and worse, and
if im having a contraction now, and trying
to walk someplace I gotta take itty bitty
baby steps, and it feels like the baby is
just gonna plop right out of me. Was your
labor easy? Where you having alot of
contractions, like almost constantly that
werent gettin regular, for like a couple
weeks? Lol I hope that when I go to the
doc tomorow he tells me im 4 cm!! I will
be soooo happy! When did you end up going
into labor after you found out you were 4?
