I'm not really sure where to begin, other than I logged onto this web site in hopes that there is an answer somewhere out there. I'm very depressed. Wish I could put my finger on just one thing that was making me feel this way but there seems to be too many things. I don't have anyone to talk to and if I go to a doctor then it's recorded on my medical record. Then when I change jobs, insurance won't cover it due to a pre-existing condition. I'm back in school for the 3rd time because I can't find a job in my field. The job market has dried up. So now i'm waiting to get into a nursing program to become a nurse. Here I am in my 50's trying to become a nurse. Am I crazy or what? I feel very alone. Haven't had a close friend or relationship for a long time. My life is pathetic. I play solitare to distract my thoughts. Am I the only one who feels this way?Crying or Very sad

No,dear you are not pathetic. You are dissatisfied with your life and you are actively trying to change it!!Good for you!!Educating yourself is always worthwhile.I'm almost 41 and just started back to school to become an eeg technician.I've been in healthcare in various support capacities(grunt work!!) for 23 years and finally decided I was tired of doing all the dirty work.I know that going back to school as a mature adult is a challenge, but we adult students are much more serious about the learning process!Don't be so down on yourself, making a chang in your life for the better is scary, but it will be worth it in the long run!!Best of luck to you!Patty
