Like any birth control it's not 100% effective. If you are unsure than take a pregnancy test to put your mind at ease. I have been on it for 9 months as well and got scared a few weeks ago.. Turned out the symptoms were just seperate and I also took a test and it came back negative thankfully. My problem is the depo stopped my period in the last few months and now I get paranoid because at least if you get it you know your not!

Hi, I also was on Depo for 9 months, but since havent been back to have my last injection which was in late December, early January. I really want to get pregnant, and me and my boyfriend have been trying, but have had no luck!
I have too took loads of pregnancey tests due to the fact i was having the symptoms, but alll came back negative, also i never took any of the tests in the morning do you think it will help if i did another test in the morning?
Please could someone help me as i dont want the depo to stop me from having children.

i was on depo for 5 yrs and one time i forgot to go (i'm a marine and it wasn't possible at the time it was due). i was due for my shot dec 16 and by jan 1 i was pregnant with my son. then, after he was born, i was on the mini pill (birth control for nursing mothers) and 3 months after my son was born, i was pregnant with my daughter. now i'm back on depo and am showing signs of being pregnant again! my advice is--never think it can't happen to you, cuz the minute u do...it happens. just do blood tests. they are waaaaaay more accurate--especially when u don't want to wait to get an accurate reading from the hpt! good luck!
