About tqo weeks ago I recieved a shoulder separation playing football. They said that it was a level two. I was wondering what kind of things I should be doing for a faster recovery? And I play quarterback, so I was wondering when is the soonest that I can start to throw again? Thanks.

I have suffered from seperated shoulders most of my life. I am 22 and finally decided to have shoulder surgery this past summer. Have you seen a doctor?

My recommendation to you is not to stabilize your shoulder. I would only wear a sling for a day, or two max. Immobilization makes the joint stiff and even harder to move later. You might want to consider physical therapy to strengthen your shoulder... Especially if you want to continue to play football.

I found that once I seperated my shoulder once it happened more and more often. Continuous dislocation weakens the joint and is painfull!
