Hey guys the summer has fried my brain out and I need help with math please! Lol

the graph of y=mx b is a line whose slope is m and whose y-imtercept is b. Two lines are parellel if they have the same slope.

Line 1: y=1/2x
line 2: y=12/25x i

i have to figure out if theyre parellel or not. Can you explain to me how I do it. I know I learned it ive just forgotten and its a review from last year

thanks so much!

See the numbers before the x? They tell you if they're parallel or not. They represent the slop. So if those two numbers are equal then their slope is the same then they are parallel. Hwich in this case...They arent because 1/2 = .5 and 12/25 = .48. So the answer is no.

Yeah. If it was

line 1: y=1/2x
line 2: y=12/24x i

then the answer would be yes, because 1/2 = 12/24.
