Odor
Posted: 10-02-03 12:37pm

My wife has a bad odor when we have intercourse, I really want to give her oral sex but I can not get past this odor. I don't want to hurt her feelings to just come right out and tell her her secrieations are offencive to me.
I am able to give her wonderful orgasms with my hand and penis btw.

I love my wife so much this is becoming a secret issue to me.

Help!

Well have her douche. It cleans her down there, and has a fresh scent. For temporary relief for now of the smell, buy her lickable lotion, they have many great scents and tastes. Have her shower at night, to be fresh then put the lotion on her down there. And you should be fine going down on her tasting the lotion. You dont have to tell her she smells down there, just have her try it to be creative. Good luck, hope it helps

Nikki is right however I wouldn't suggest douching often. It unblanaces the natural chemicals your vagina need to clean itself. The vagina is a self cleaning organ so as long as she's washing herself everyday it shouldn't be that offensive. However like nikki said there are some great tasting oils and lubricants that you could try. Best of luck

Odor?

Hi bandc23. I read your problem with odor and I think your wife has a yeast infection down there. I experienced the same thing once with my wife. She had started to stink down there and went to the doc who prescribed a 7 day yeast cream (i think it was monistat). After that she smelled real nice and the stink never came back.

Good luck to you!

Your welcome! But thats weird her doc said not to do that....They also have other things like vagisil cream cleanser and its a foam that she can put on a toilet paper and just wipe down there and its for wetness and odor prevention. And its small enough to fit in a purse! Its only like $2 or something like that. There are alot of things, but just for the spur of the moment, the lotions and a fresh shower work best!

Well I think if you talk her into it and get her into the mood she will. You just kinda have to coach her and tell her to be more experimental! I think I spelled it right. But get the lotions and talk her into it, im sure shes be willing even if it was only once to try.

Please do not have u'r wife to douche. She has a bacteria infection. Have her see her gyn doc. The smell is from the seman mixing with the bacteria. Yeast infections do not smell that bad.

You need to tell her to go to the doctors cause if its a fishy or foul odor it could be caused by bacterial vaginosis, its not an std its just an imbalance in the bacteria that lives in a womans vagina. Embarassed its treated with anit biotics.

Number one thing is please tell any women they should not douche...It is very bad for the vagina....There are many other ways to get the freshness that you think the douche is doing..Like someone said the vagina cleans its self and the douche can make many problems worse (i know from experience)... Number two thing is I just got over my period last week and my husband and I had sex saturday..Then on sunday and today is real bad, my down there spot is burning and today I had bleeding again tried to put in a tampon and oh my gosh did it hurt...There is an odor too that is not a normal smell...? What is wrong? Help Crying

Dear band,

the girls here are right. It is very bad for a woman to douche, and your wife obviously already knows this. It unbalances the natural ph in the vagina. Usually after a fresh shower everything should be ok, so if your wife has a bad vaginal odor then she most likely has an infection of some kind. Many women have problems with yeast infections, and there are many treatments. If she makes an appointment to see her doctor, i'm sure they could find out what it is, and how to treat it.

Good luck...

Hello,

if its a problem that has just started, it could be an infection, maybe she should go to the doctor. You can say.."i've noticed a change in odour, just thinking maybe there is a change that needs to be seen by a doctor".

Or, hygene. When are you going down on her? Take a shower or bath together first to freshen up (both of you. Men can stink too!!!!) and then see...If it's clean and still smells it's her fluids..That shouldn't smell horrible. We all have a smell but shouldn't be bad.

No douche..Can cause yeast infections...Stay away!

And if that doesn't all work...Buy flavoured lotions at a sex shop..Use it for flavour and smell.

Good luck!

Sugar in the vagina can promote the growth of bad bacteria, and introducing an unwashed item of food can also draw in bad bacteria...

I agree, don't douche. But if it really smells that bad, there might be something wrong. She should get checked out.

However, if she just smells like that, you can get past it by bathing with her before sex. Not only is it really romantic and sexy, it will help her feel clean so she might want it more and help you to feel more comfortable going down there.
