Hey, its timiyah again....Well the blue veins are still visible, my bb's are still sore. I have taken a hpt and it was -. Kind of disappointing, but I still have hope in this. I have not gone to take a blood test. My luvmuf'n are going to try this again in about two weeks. I am going to start taking mucinex again (to thin my cervical mucus, so the little can make it to the ). Right now my cervical mucus is thick and sticky, I figure, if I start taking the mucinex now, my chances will be greater within two weeks. I am also interested in clomid (to help ovulate/become fertile), I have gone to planned parenthood...They don't prescribe this from their facility. Does anyone know where I can obtain clomid or a generic brand? I am kind of desperate right now. I don't want to get my hopes up high, like I have done for the past three weeks with the symptoms I currently have. Help a sista out? Please!

Timiyah,
please don't take mucinex, to thin your cervical mucus.
Just because you have had a negative home pregnancy test, this doesn't necessarily mean you aren't pregnant.
False negatives are common especially in early pregnancy.
I'm just thinking that if you thin your mucus and happen to really be pregnant, you might cause yourself a loss.
Please don't take this risk, on the strength of one hpt. Many girls had negatives up until they were 5-7 weeks sometimes more.

Please please wait until you know for sure. Confused

Well, I have gone to planned parenthood every since I started having these symptoms. I'd go once per week, since the 3rd week of august. It'll be a month from the date of conception next week. I started taking mucinex at the beginning of august, b/c I got off the depo (as of july "04). My cervical mucus, while on depo, has been thick and sticky. Therefore, when having Wink its impossible for the Wink to swim there way to my Wink . By using mucinex before hand, I though it would increase my chances of becoming preg. Due to getting off depo in july. With the depo injection taken in april, I started bleeding from may through august off and on. I consulted with a physician and she stated that my body was wanting the depo injection earlier than the expected scheduled date. Itold her that I didn't want the injections anymore b/c we're trying to get preg. So while my body was going through this "3-month menstrula cycle", I thought it was clearingmy system in the process. A few days after we Wink that is when the sore breast and other symptoms came about. I never get lower left-side abdominal cramps, lag cramps when laying in bed, frequent chills nor sore breast when my cycle occurred (years ago). I was told that it could be a hormonal imbalance, impending menstrual or I could be pregnant. All of these hypothesis came from a "physician" at planned parenthood (interesting). I took matters into my own hands and found that (by research) every woman's body is different. I still feel like I am pregnant, but the hpt's and planned parenthood tests are telling me otherwise. Its kind of disappointing, I am determined to make it happen. Have you heard of bad side affects using mucinex?

Good News Or Bad News
I understand what you're saying but I don't want to think i'm preg. When i'm told otherwise (like other women). I don't want to think i'm preg. And tell everyone the "good news" and find that I am not "5 -7 weeks" later. I wouldn't want to hurt the unborn nor myself if I am. But, I don't want to wait around and do nothing if I am not. Is it best to get a blood test right now or not?

Mucinex is oviously an american drug because I have never heard of it, except on here.
However I would seriously stay away from anything that thins your cervical mucus if there is the slightest chance you could be pregnant.
By all means carrying having sex and trying to conceive, but don't take stuff like this mucinex just in case you already are pregnant. How would you feel in a couple of months time, if you lost a baby, because you thinned your mucus, hoping to get pregnant, but you already were.

Just be careful, lots of baby dust your way Wink

I've been looking up mucinex.
It is to thin bronchial mucus, it is an expectorant (to clear your air ways) and isn't considered safe to use when pregnant.

Ummm, why don't you ask your doctor if it's okay to take while pregnant. Just in case you don't want to screw your kid up before it's even born. You are at a critical point in pregnancy to be even thinking about that. Right now your baby's organs are developing and you could really screw things up. It would be wise to wait until you know for sure and by that you have a normal period and you have no symptoms and your doctor is telling you your not pregnant three or four months from now. Be responsible and think about what the consequences are for taking a drug while pregnant!

Yup can't agree more.
It is pointless to take a drug which could potentially remove your baby's first line of defence, on the "i want more sperm to get in just in case i'm not pregnant".
Timyah you really need to let your normal cycle get back on track first, and don't take anything which isn't safe for your baby's well-being.

There's Hope For Me On This
I took a pregnancy test yesterday, which came back -. It'll be a month from conception as of the 14th of september. If I haven't gotten a hpt, then my chances of being preg. Are slim right now. I'm assumming, if I were preg. All hpt should be as of now. Pitterpatter, I did not say I was preg. I did say I have symptoms... I have gone to a physician (as stated in the previous messages) and they said I was not preg. Out of all 5 times during each visit. Thanks for the input ladies, i'll keep u posted.

Many girls have had negative tests for weeks even months into their pregnancies.
False negatives are very common
however if you get a positive you can be fairly sure it is true.
