Q: One Chronic Itching Ear

For about 12 years, my right ear has itched and it is driving me crazy! The other ear is fine. One doctor found a tiny little hair inside and removed it about 2 years ago, but that didn't help at all. Another gave me drops and that didn't help either. I try to keep it dry because when it is damp, it itches even more. No doctor has ever seen any infection. When dry, the ear produces embarrassing crusty white flakes around the outside of the hole. When wet, there is a very small amount of pale yellow goo. Sometimes I resolve to not qtip. I miss the the normal dark orange stinky earwax that I had when I was a kid, but I can't stand the itch long enough to leave it alone. Long ago, I tried ear candling. I've tried debrox in the past, but not in the past year or so. Any ideas? Thank you for any leads.
