Q: Questions About Dyeing My Hair

I have been aching to dye my hair a crazy shade for about 3 years now, but my mom forbids me to...Not because of the color, but because she says that dyeing my hair will make it fall out. I know that if a person dyes their hair frequently, it'll probably start falling out, but what about dyeing it only a couple of times?

Also, if I bleach my hair, will it ever return to it's natural color, or would I need to keep on bleaching it? And with hair dye, will it eventually fade into nothing, revealing my bleached hair, or will it fade into some bizarre ugly shade that's only residue of the previous color?

.........

I only worry because my hair is extremely thin; I hardly have anything on my head. And therefore, I need all the hair I can get!

Any advice on the whole dyeing thing, or how to make my hair thicker?
