Daughter has been to doctor 3 times and still no one has provided the right treatment! First time, the diagnosis was yeast infection from taking antibiotic, so nystatin prescribed to place on mouth. Second time, another topical cream prescribed. Third time, we went to dermotologist, but she ended up seeing physcian assistant! Guess what? Another topical cream prescribed! Now, she is getting it again, but the soreness has gone inside the mouth and is open sore. Fyi she wears retainer at night, and I suggested putting it in mouthwash to kill any bacteria. Any ideas? I have told her to take acidolphilis to maybe give her some "good" bacteria. Any help or suggestions appreciated. The doctors sure haven't helped.
