I've been on the pill a while, and I was wondering if taking the last 7 pills in the dialpak are necessary? I heard they were just "reminder pills" which are meant to keep you on a schedule of taking the pill, but aren't really necessary...

I haven't been taking these because when I do, I can't sleep at night. I haven't been having sex either- i'm a virgin!!!

Yes, they are "reminder" pills (they are placebos, and therefore have no hormones or chemicals that will affect you), and pill users are encouraged to take them so that they will be in the habit of taking a pill each and every single day. Question--why can't you sleep at night when you take them??

That's odd! They are just placebos! Empty pills. They shouldn't have any effect on you whatsoever. Strange. Maybe you just feel like that because it is right before your period. I dunno. But, anyway, no, you don't have to take them. They are empty.
