MS is an autoimmune disorder with unknown etiology. Immune-suppressive and immune-modulating medicines are used for its treatment. Physical therapy is also very important.

It doesn't seem likely to me that diet can help.

I know of people who are currently following the Swank diet, or similar diets, and are pleased with the results.

I wouldn't discount diet entirely.

On this forum I learned the story of Lorenzo's oil.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augusto_and_M ichaela_Odone

Parents researched and then incorporated a specially prepared type of oil into their son's diet who had ALD and is still alive. These parents were not physicians.

The medical model often dismisses diet as a possible treatment for many diseases. Common sense and experience says otherwise.

Perform a google scholar search of MS and diet. There are many substantial articles on the subject.
